Sourcing

Great oil begins before it is pressed.

Before there is an oil, there is a seed, a nut, a harvest and a place where it was grown.

At Oilury, we believe the quality and character of a botanical oil begin with the raw ingredient itself. Variety, origin, growing practices, harvest and freshness all influence the oil it can produce. That’s why we are highly selective about what goes into our press.

Even the most exceptional process can only preserve the quality nature created in the first place.

01

American-grown whenever possible.

Supporting American agriculture is not a marketing statement for us. It is a sourcing decision we make even when it costs considerably more — because freshness and details matter. Whenever the ingredient and quality we require are available in the United States, we choose American-grown over less expensive imported alternatives.

Here in California, that connection becomes personal. Whenever possible, we visit the farms, meet the farmers and see firsthand where our ingredients are grown. We care about how they are cultivated, the growing practices behind them, their harvest, freshness and condition. For us, knowing more about what we press is worth more than simply finding the lowest-priced ingredient.

02

Variety matters.

03

One ingredient. Nothing to hide.

04

Nature doesn’t make every harvest identical.

Pressed seeds & nuts

One seed or kernel per bottle. Every botanical here is pressed on its own — nothing added, nothing removed — so what you taste and feel is the ingredient itself.

Bitter Apricot Kernels

First-pressed bitter apricot kernel oil is silken on skin and hair, and finishes food without heaviness. It comforts dry skin and leaves a light, natural glow.

Flax Seeds

USA flax is first-pressed into a raw, omega-rich oil for food, skin, and hair. It nourishes skin and stays living and unfiltered — refrigerate and use within 6 weeks.

Hemp Seeds

Hemp seeds are first-pressed into a raw, unfiltered oil for food, skin, and hair.

Pine Nuts

Mongolian pine nuts are first-pressed into an unfiltered oil for food, skin, and hair. Refrigerate and use within 3 months; the oil conditions both and keeps the seed’s natural flavor intact.

Pistachios

Pistachios are first-pressed for a silky oil and milled into a fine food powder. They soften skin, condition hair, and bring a clean pistachio character to food.

Styrian Pumpkin Seeds

Deep and unfiltered, Styrian pumpkin seed oil is first-pressed for food, skin, and hair. It nourishes skin and finishes savory dishes, with the press cake milled into a single-ingredient powder.

Walnuts

Walnut oil stays unfiltered after the first press — a golden finish for food, skin, and hair. It nourishes skin and hair and keeps the nut’s distinctive flavor in every drop.
