Our Difference
NOT ALL COLD-PRESSED OILS ARE CREATED EQUAL
Seeing “Pure” and “Cold-Pressed” on a bottle can sound like the ultimate assurance of purity and quality.
But those words tell only part of the story.
They don’t tell you what kind of press was used, how much friction or heat occurred during extraction, what materials the oil came into contact with, whether it was further processed or filtered, how long it was stored before bottling — or when it was actually pressed.
At OILURY, we believe those details matter.
“Pure”
“PURE” DOESN’T MEAN UNPROCESSED
The word “pure” may sound like an oil has gone directly from the seed or nut into the bottle.
But that word alone doesn’t tell you what happened to the oil along the way.
An oil described as pure may still have been refined, filtered, deodorized or otherwise processed. It may have been stored or transported in bulk and bottled considerably later.
And “pure” tells you nothing about when the oil was actually pressed or how it was protected afterward.
“Cold-Pressed”
“COLD-PRESSED” DOESN’T TELL THE WHOLE STORY EITHER
Many conventional mechanical pressing systems use continuous movement to extract oil, creating friction in the process.
Even when heat isn’t intentionally added, friction itself can generate heat.
120–190°F
Friction temperatures described for conventional continuously driven screw pressing — extraction often still labeled “cold-pressed.”
Technical materials discussing oil extraction have described conventional continuously driven screw pressing as capable of generating temperatures of approximately 120–190°F through friction, and have noted that describing this type of mechanical extraction as “cold-pressed” can be misleading.
Six questions
Yet consumers are rarely told:
What kind of press produced the oil?
How much friction occurred?
What temperatures did the oil experience?
What material did the freshly extracted oil touch?
What happened to it after pressing?
When was it actually pressed?
OILURY TELLS YOU WHAT “PURE” AND “COLD-PRESSED” DON’T.
And that’s where our standard begins.

Our press
PRESSURE — NOT FRICTION
At the heart of OILURY is our custom-built press, created specifically for our approach to botanical oil extraction.
Rather than relying on friction to continuously force oil from the ingredient, our process uses slow, gentle pressure with zero added heat and frictionless extraction.
We designed our process around protecting the natural character of the oil — not around producing the greatest volume in the shortest amount of time.
01
SLOW PRESSURE.
02
FRICTIONLESS EXTRACTION.
03
ZERO ADDED HEAT.
STEP 1
IT STARTS WITH
THE HARVEST
We source the highest quality nuts and seeds from the latest harvest for the freshest, most nutrient-rich ingredients.

STEP 2
GENTLY
COLD-PRESSED
Each oil is pressed separately using slow, frictionless pressure extraction with zero added heat. Our custom-built 316L stainless-steel press provides a non-reactive surface, allowing for gentle extraction while preserving the oil’s natural quality, aroma, flavor, nutrients, and integrity.

STEP 3
PROTECTED
FROM DAY ONE
Immediately after pressing, each oil is refrigerated to preserve freshness. No refining, bleaching, deodorizing, or filtering — preserving the oil in its fresh, raw, unaltered state.

STEP 4
FRESHLY
BOTTLED FOR YOU
Each oil is bottled in small batches while fresh, never mass-produced or made months in advance. From our press to your bottle, we keep the time between pressing and bottling as short as possible — so you receive the oil the way we intended it: fresh, raw, and full of its natural character.

COLD-PRESSED
Slow, frictionless pressure extraction with zero added heat.
RAW
Never refined, bleached, or deodorized.
MADE WITH CARE
Small batches. Thoughtful process. Always.
UNFILTERED
Natural sediment may occur — a sign of purity.
Side by side
Two ways to press an oil. Only one protects it.

Oilury standard
The Oilury way
Pressure does the work.
Our custom 316L stainless-steel press applies slow, steady, controlled force in a single press. The oil is released gently, the temperature stays low, and the natural character of the botanical is preserved.
Mechanism
Slow, steady pressure applied in one controlled press
Heat
None added — the temperature stays low throughout
Metal in contact
316L stainless steel, the grade trusted in medical use
Effect on botanicals
Gentle — the natural character is preserved
Every Oilury oil is pressed this way.
Premium stainless steel
Exceptional corrosion resistance
Non-reactive
Trusted in demanding medical applications
What touches the oil
WHAT TOUCHES THE OIL MATTERS
Temperature isn’t the only thing we considered when creating our press.
Our custom-built press uses premium 316L stainless steel, chosen for its exceptional corrosion resistance and non-reactive properties — the same premium material trusted in demanding medical applications.
For us, the material that comes into contact with freshly extracted oil isn’t simply an equipment specification.
It’s part of protecting its purity.
The ingredient
WE START WITH THE INGREDIENT — NOT FINISHED OIL
We don’t purchase finished bulk oils and simply put an OILURY label on the bottle.
We source the actual nuts and seeds.
We care about their origin, quality and harvest. Then we press them ourselves in small batches, allowing us to control what happens between the raw botanical and the oil that goes into your bottle.
That distinction may seem simple.
To us, it’s fundamental.

After the press
FRESHNESS DOESN’T END AT THE PRESS
How an oil is extracted matters. What happens immediately afterward matters, too.
Our freshly extracted oils are allowed to settle naturally and bottled without conventional refining, filtering, bleaching or deodorizing.
Rather than processing delicate oils simply to make them more convenient for an extended shelf life, we protect them with refrigeration immediately after pressing.
Then we do something remarkably simple:

Press date on every bottle
WE TELL YOU WHEN WE PRESSED IT.
Every bottle carries a press date, because we believe someone purchasing a premium botanical oil deserves to know how fresh it actually is.
The process
FROM THE INGREDIENT TO YOUR BOTTLE
No added heat.
No friction.
No solvents.
No chemical refining.
No bleaching.
No deodorizing.
No filtering.
And no mystery about when your oil was made.
FRESHNESS ISN’T AN EXTRA FEATURE.
IT’S WHAT OUR ENTIRE PROCESS WAS BUILT TO PROTECT.
Pure matters. Cold-pressed matters. But what happens between the seed and the bottle matters even more.
